Runway For A Career

~ 2nd annual fashion event to benefit individuals committed to impacting people's lives ~

Cleveland, Ohio - August 10, 2010 - Preparations are underway for the 2nd Annual White Night Fashion event.  This signature fundraising event of The Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund was established by John Robert's Spa, a Cleveland based salon and spa, voted one of the Top 20 salons in the country numerous times by Salon Today and Launchpad magazines.   The Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund was created to celebrate the life of its founder (August 22, 1969 - March 21, 2009) by awarding a deserving recipient the opportunity to begin a career in the beauty industry. 

This year's event, "Cirque de la Vie", is scheduled for Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the House of Blues Cleveland.  Guests will be treated to a highly entertaining evening as they view a fabulous display of elegant, high-end, circus-style fashions.  Tickets are available for $40 GA and $55 VIP in advance through John Robert's Spa at (216) 839-4850, online at  www.johnrobertsspa.com or by visiting any John Robert's Spa location.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $50 GA and $69 VIP.

The Show

Does life ever feel like a three ring circus?  Never a dull moment...  But filled with excitement,  surprises, unexpected outcome...  "Cirque de la Vie" (Circus of Life) is a one-of-a-kind fashion show where animals come out of their cages and clowns are couture.  "Cirque de la Vie"  brings together on the runway circus-styled models, eccentric figures, lyrical and contemporary dancers, jugglers, stilts walkers.  A show where childhood memories come alive in an adult theatrical manner.  It's the hottest thing to hit the runway!

Every aspect of this show has been created from concept to execution by the John Robert's Spa team.  The inspiration behind the theme "Cirque de la Vie" was generated to evoke having a vibrant, colorful life like Stacy did; to live your life to the fullest; dream more, risk more, expect more, care more.

Doors open at 6pm with pre-show activities including silent auction, raffle, sponsors' interactions and networking.  At 8pm the fashion show and an array of eclectic entertainments will be full in swing.  The show will also include the announcement of this year's scholarship recipient, who will be awarded with the initial tuition to cosmetology school.  Attendees are asked to wear white in the spirit of white night.

August 22nd will be a night to remember!  Attendees will exit feeling highly entertained, energized, and inspired.  So, let's bring the circus to life!  Expect the unexpected.

The Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund

Stacy's impact in people's lives and careers, and her contribution as an artistic icon to her team, make it a necessity for John Robert's Spa as a company to assure that her legacy will continue.  Because Stacy so adamantly believed in and encouraged education at all levels John Robert's Spa decided to establish a fund in her name, The Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund, to support others who, like her, had a passion for the beauty industry, who love to learn and inspire change in the world, who truly want to enhance the quality lives of others around them.  

The aim of the Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund is to provide opportunities to have a rewarding career impacting people's lives.  This scholarship is designed to assist people who are truly committed to having a long term career as a licensed cosmetologist.  The scholarship will be awarded annually to one or more people who are selected by a committee that determine who will assess each candidate based on the merits of the Stacy DiJulius Scholarship Fund's criteria:

                Risk More ~ than others think is safe

                Care More ~ than others think is wise

                Dream More ~ than others think is practical

                Expect More ~ than others think is possible

This fundraising event is sponsored by CBC Magazine, Cleveland Clinic, Speaking of Women's Health, Touch the World, PowerSport Institute, Ohio Technical College, Winds of Change Boutique, The DiJulius Group, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Skoda Minotti, Cafe 56, and The Inkwell Printing.
