The Nail Team took a Aveda Product Knowledge/Elemental Nature Class and developed a new Elemental Nature Spa Pedicure.  They will be taking many Advanced Classes in the year 2006.

2004 Continuing Education

Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas. One of the grandest shows of the year, features the biggest names in the industry in hair design, nails, beauty and spa. Team members will have a chance to learn from greats such as hair guru Fredric Fekkai, wellness expert Andrew Weil and makeup and brow artist to the stars, Anastasia. North American Hairdresser Awards will be announced and a spectacular style show hosted by Brenda Cooper of E's Fashion Emergency will commence the first night.

Seeds of Preparation in Cincinnati, a class for our in-salon coaches to help prepare them to become better instructors and presenters.

Mid-America, an AVEDA 2-day educational event in Cincinnati. Sixty members of our team are attending this event where there they'll learn the latest trends in cut, color, and techniques for hair as well as wellness and spa updates. Customer service is also a big focus of the show, and John is featured as a guest speaker. Many of the team members are staying for advanced education classes after the show.

The John Robert's management team traveled to Orlando to attend the TSA (The Salon Association) Symposium. They learned management skills from Disney's presenters and experienced 'the music paradigm' with Roger Nierenberg. Owner, John DiJulius was also a speaker at the national event. Team members Stacy DiJulius, and Chris Woj are continuing to attend the advanced AVEDA academy in Toronto as they develop our new education curriculum.

Stacy Di Julius is nominated for the Athena Award!! "Inside Business Magazine" selected Stacy for her professional excellence, community service and for actively and generously assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence.

Team members attended the cosmetology show in Las Vegas, advanced education in Toronto, and business classes in Chicago.

Team member, Chris Wojo adds Vidal Sassoon to her advanced education credits. Chris is also our relaxer expert specializing in the new Japanese straightening techniques.

In our commitment to on-going advanced education, John Robert's brought in AVEDA's artistic director and global educator, and Toronto Hairstylist of the Year, Ray Civello. Ray shared his artistic skills and creativity with our team during an advanced cutting class.

Almost 20 team members attended the Midwest Beauty Show in Chicago and several others also attended the International Beauty Show in New York. Designer, Monica Colagiovanni, began training through AVEDA in advanced color techniques as an in-salon coach for John Robert's. Other in-salon coaches receiving advanced training through AVEDA include: Megan Godish, Katie Stevens, Alissa Shook, and Teresa Simon.
